Painting ‘Kaisers Rock’ - creation of album art for ‘Souvenir’ by Kaiser Chiefs
This short stop-frame film documents the painting of ‘Kaisers Rock’, created for the album cover of ‘Souvenir: The Singles 2004-2012’ by the brilliant British band Kaiser Chiefs. I chose ‘Oh My God’ as it’s one of my fave songs, and what I said to myself a lot whilst painting the piece. I also used to ‘work in a shirt with my name-tag on it’ - (in Woolworths) yearning to be a million miles from there… ‘somewhere more familiar’ ;)
